기메 패턴 디자인

제주의 전통종이예술 기메의 패턴을 활용한 그래픽도안과 의상, 굿즈 디자인입니다.

Context.

2021년 새롭게 리뉴얼 된 기메 디자인입니다. 기존에 있던 기메를 단순화하여 좀 더 심플한 형태로 제작하였습니다.

블랙 & 화이트 컬러를 사용한 깔끔한 디자인이 특징으로 다양한 패턴 형태로 사용할 수 있도록 디자인 되었습니다. 굿즈로는 따뜻한 차나 커피가 담기면 ‘기메’가 드러나는 변색 머그컵을 제작하여 신과 인간을 이어주는 창문 역할을 하는 기메의 의미를 더해봤습니다. 또한 기메 퍼즐을 제작하여 일상 속에서 재미있게 기메를 만나볼 수 있도록 하였습니다.

Jeju Gime pattern design

This is the newly redesigned Jeju Gime design in 2021. We simplified the existing Gime design to create a more minimalist form. The clean design features a black and white color scheme and is designed in various pattern forms for versatile use. As a merchandise, we created color-changing mugs that reveal the Gime pattern when filled with warm tea or coffee, adding the meaning of Gime as a window that connects the divine and human realms. Additionally, we also created Gime puzzles to provide a fun way to encounter Gime in daily life.
